This won’t be a long post but just had to quickly tell you about Point Lobos! It was another recommendation from Cathy and Robert and it was just the best place ever!!
It’s a nature reserve on the coast full of wildlife with loads of hiking trails and points to admire the views. We spent about 4 hours there but easily could’ve stayed longer.
We saw Whales!! Actual whales!!! Just feeding and hanging around in the ocean. It was one of the best things I’ve ever seen and we were lucky enough to see them quite a few times at different points. Each time better than the last. Amazing!
Also, there are a lot of volunteers working at the park and one of them had a spotting scope which he attached my phone to so I could watch the sea lions on the rock more closely! What a guy!!!
