We were excited to get to Adelaide as we had heard lots of good things about it and it didn’t disappoint.
On our way, we stopped off at a couple of beaches and enjoyed nice walks along the coast. We also took the ‘McLaren Vale Tourist Drive’ route which took us on a beautiful drive with gorgeous views and past a lot of wineries. We would definitely recommend doing this drive as it’s only 28km in total and well worth it.
In the Adelaide CBD, we felt it was really laid back and chilled out for a city. Qualities that we love! There are fantastic food and coffee places so your tastebuds will always be in for a treat. We only had one full day in Adelaide so we decided to dedicate most of it to The Botanic Garden and boy are we glad we did! You can spend hours wandering with a loved one gazing at the beautiful flowers and plants as well as all of the beautiful birds. Or you can simply sit and relax whilst the world carries on around you. Both are good choices!
We also dropped on because we timed it well to walk through the wisteria archway. Our lovely hosts told us about this so we were made up we got to see it.
I also feel like I have to mention The University of Adelaide. It’s buildings are beautiful and actually made us both want to study there. Powerful architecture!
Adelaide is a brilliant city full of lovely people and we only managed to scratch the surface of it. Also, I will always be grateful for it giving me my first ever soup served inside a bread roll. A wonderful place 😀
Sounds idyllic ☺️Such a contrast to Victor Harbor! Xxx
